To find out what size sac your pen requires, measure the diameter of the sac peg as shown below. Use this measurement to find the size of sac.
These sac's are made in the traditional way, by dipping the former into liquid latex.
All sizes of sacs are approximately 3 inches (78mm) in length and should be cut to size for your pen.
Size 10 Fits a sac peg of 4.0 mm
Size 11 Fits a sac peg of 4.3 mm
Size 12 Fits a sac peg of 4.7 mm
Size 13 Fits a sac peg of 5.1 mm
Size 14 Fits a sac peg of 5.5 mm
Size 15 Fits a sac peg of 5.9 mm
Size 16 Fits a sac peg of 6.3 mm
Size 16 Tapered Fits a sac peg of 6.3 mm
Size 17 Fits a sac peg of 6.7 mm
Size 18 Fits a sac peg of 7.1 mm
Size 19 Fits a sac peg of 7.5 mm
Size 20 Fits a sac peg of 7.9 mm
Size 22 Fits a sac peg of 8.7 mm
The sizing of ink sac's is in units of 64th's of an inch. Therefore a size 16 is 16 / 64th's of an inch in diameter.
In this metric era it's a little difficult to measure in that format.
The above table of sac sizes has been converted to the nearest metric mm equivalent.
If the size of the sac peg fall between two sizes choose the smaller size sac.
How to fit a sac
SHELLAC should be used to fit the sac to the peg.
Once set dust the sac with
FRENCH CHALK and refit the section into the barrel.
If the section is a little loose, a dab of Shellac can be used to ensure a secure fit.
